"The present storm and tests are God`s blessings that will make the party stronger," he said after installing the Riau Islands Democrat Party regional board here on Monday.
He said he was optimistic the Democrat Party would remain big and become even bigger after all the tests.
He said the problems faced by the Democrat Party now were like tests. In order to become a big and tested party the Democrat Party must pass various tests, he added.
To hundreds of party cadres attending the event Anas appealed to work seriously for the sake of the party`s greatness.
He said 2013 would be the time for the cadres to prove if they had really carried out the mandate.
He also asked his cadres to focus on the people so that in the next general elections people would have ideas on which party to choose.
He said he believed the people would continue to choose the Democrat Party because of its performance so far.
"Let us not talk about 2014 yet. What is important is meeting the political promises made in the 2009 general elections so that people would have clear ideas on which to choose. And we believe the Democrat Party would continue to win their trust," he said.
With its good performance the Democrat Party would prove its seriousness in meeting the promises so that people would again vote for it in 2014, he said.
"The people would determine which party is worth a mandate. And I believe the Democrat Party would become bigger and more trusted by the people," he said.
Anas said only the party that works would be loved by the people and therefore cadres must prove it.
With regard to political rumors engulfing the party so far he called on the people not to respond them let alone the ones that give no enlightenment and political education to the people.
"A lot of rumors are only creating confusion and problems which certainly are not what the people are expecting," he said.
