Held at the presidential office, the meeting which started at 2 on Tuesday afternoon was attended by all cabinet ministers, all members of the Presidential Advisory Council, and other ranking government officials.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa said before the meeting that the president would chair the session to discuss the management of the recent Lebaran holiday exodus, the absorption of the 2011 state budget, and the government`s work plan in 2012.
Also present at the meeting were Vice President Boediono, National Police Chief Gen Timur Pradopo, Attorney General Basrief Arief, and National Defense Forces (TNI) Chief Admiral Agus Suhartono.
Before attending the cabinet meeting, the TNI chief on Tuesday morning dispatched the warship KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 to Lebanon from the Military Sea-Lift Command (Kolinlamil) pier.
KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 left for Lebanon on Tuesday to join the Marine Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (MTF-UNIFIL).
On the occasion, Admiral Agus Suhartono said the departure of the KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda marked the third of Indonesia`s contributions to the Marine Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.
"Indonesia has earlier sent KRI Diponegoro-365 and KRI Frans Kasiepo-368 to Lebanon to join the United Nations Peace-keeping Mission there," Suhartono said.
Following the dispatch of KRI Diponegoro-365 to Lebanon, UNIFIL Commander Maj Gen Claudio Graziano said at the time that the Indonesian warship was eligible for participation in MTF-UNIFIL.
The TNI chief said that during its six-month mission in Lebanon, KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda would codenamed Garuda Contingent XXVIII-C.
The UNIFIL Marine Task Force was formed based on UN Security Council Resolution 1701 on the need for a peace-keeping mission in South Lebanon.
