Jambi (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inspected a home renovation project initiated by Jambi Provincial Government when on a working visit to the province here in Friday.

The President was accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono to see the implementation of the project in Asam Bawah sub-district, Jambi.

The project was built by a public works department team of Jambi Province, Garuda Putih Military Command Post 402.

Military Command Post 402 chief Infantry Colonel Yudhgie Karsono explained that in his territory there are 3,088,618 inhabitants with 34,180 poor families.

In 2011 some 1,117 of the 2,802 houses had already been renovated.

The President and his entourage inspected a house being renovated, and owned by one of the residents named Marzuki.

"The First Lady just asked for more attention to washing and toilet facilities," the President said.

Houses that had been renovated had plastered floor.

On this working visit, the President was also accompanied by several Minister as Minister, Secretary of State Sudi Silalahi, Minister of Education Muhammad Nuh, Minister of Domestic Affairs Gamawan Fauzi, Minister of Youth and Sports Andi Malarangeng, and also Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus.

After the working visit, the President, his wife and entourage went to Sultan Thaha Airport and fly back to Jakarta where he is scheduled to arrive at 10:20 am.(*)
