Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak witnessed the signing of two protocols for the amendment of memorandums of understanding on Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation here on Thursday.

The two protocols are for the amendment of the MOUs on avoidance of double taxation and bilateral and commodities cooperation.

The agreements were signed by Indonesian foreign minister Marty Natalegawa and his Malaysian counterpart Anifah Aman and minister of plantations and industrial commodities Bernard Giluk Dompok.

The countries` leaders were here for annual bilateral consultations in Mandalika resort in West Nusa Tenggara.

Issues discussed at the meeting include progress in the agreement on provisional territorial sea border in Sulawesi waters, welfare of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia which is covered in the MOU on recruitment and placement of Indonesian domestic workers and the establishment of community learning center.

In their speeches after the meeting President Yudhoyono and Prime Minister Najib Razak said the two parties were willing to cooperate to settle every problem with cooperation spirit to maintain good relations.

President Yudhoyono in the meeting was accompanied by among others education minister M Nuh, manpower minister Muhaimin Iskandar, national police chief General Timur Pradopo and presidential special aide for foreign affairs Teuku Faizasyah.(*)
