"Indonesia through the ministry of social affairs will hold an international conference on social welfare," Social Affairs Minister Salim Segaf Al Jufrie said here on Tuesday.
He said that besides the ten ASEAN countries which would attend, the conference will also be highlighted by the United States, Japan, Canada, Britain and Germany.
The minister said that the presence of friendly countries in the conference would reinforce the social solidarity spirit in the world.
"South Korea, Britain, Turkey, Kuwait and Fiji said they will attend the event," the ministers said.
Jufrie said that before the on social prosperity which was hold routinely every year did not include other countries.
The event will be opened by President Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono. (*)
