With the support from Indonesian Strategic Initiative for Administrative Reform (ISIAR) various activities as the forum and several others will be held on December8-9, 2011 and located in the Campus of the University of Indonesia, Depok, is a form of real concerns and contributions of community leaders that joined in ISIAR on Indonesia's current condition.
ISIAR is a network that was driven by community leaders from the university, businesses, politicians, civil society, government bureaucrats and students to promote and encourage a variety of administrative reform efforts in Indonesia.
Of the hundreds declarators present, five of which would address bureaucratic reform movement, including Mahfud MD (judicial), Dewi Aryani (legislative), Putri Kuswisnu Wardani (businesswoman), Joko widodo (mayor of Solo), and Teten Masduki.
There were also figures and senior bureaucratic change movement and participate as declarators which are Prof Dr Sofian Effendi, Sarwono Kusumaatmadja, J Kristiadi, Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Regent of Samosir, Regent of West Sumbawa, Regent of Mamuju, Mayor of Denpasar and Mayor of Kediri.
Departing from the fact that political reforms and legal reforms that have been rolling since 1998 is not running properly and failed to reform the welfare of the community because of not followed up with the reform of bureaucratic system of the state.
ISIAR rate that is a matter of urgency to immediately initiate a sustainable movement to encourage reform of the administration (bureaucracy) so as to create effective and clean governance and able to make a better and clean condition of Indonesia.
More than 26 papers on public policy will be presented during the National Conference. All the material will then be published as a book in order to be utilized by anyone in need.
Those events are expected that this activity can be a trigger for a greater mass movement to urge and encourage the bureaucracy reform in Indonesia.
Therefore, in this activity will also contribute in discussed a variety of action steps starting from implementation of a number of activities, virtual campaigns through a variety of electronic social networking, or through various dialogue and movement activities that involve the wider community.
The committee realizes that this movement will be successful if there is support from the mass media. Therefore, our expectations of attendance and support from media partners for the future of a better nation through this moral movement. (ANT)
