"The number of voters was determined based on provisional voters` lists (DPS) that were revised on December 24, 2011," the chairman of KIP`s voters registration working group, Tgk Akmal Abzal, said here on Wednesday.
The total number of potential voters among Aceh`s population was 3,340,977 people, he said, adding that voter`s registration had ended on December 27, 2011.
Aceh`s simultaneous gubernatorial election will take place on February 16, 2012.
Four candidate pairs would run in the election, namely Irwandi Yusuf-Muhyan Yunan, Teungku Ahmad Tajuddin-Teuku Suriansyah, Darni M Daud-Ahmad Fauzi and Muhammad Nazar-Nova Iriansyah. (*)
