Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has set the target of aviation turbine (avtur) fuel sales for 2012 at 3.5 million kiloliters, up 3.55 percent from the sales of 3.38 million kiloliters last year.

"We are optimistic that avtur sales will hit an all time high of 3.5 million kiloliters in 2012," Pertamina spokesman M harun said here on Wednesday.

He said the avtur sales in 2012 would entirely originate from Pertamina`s refineries.

Right now 8.3 million kiloliters of the refineries` fuel oil production which reached 40.6 million kiloliters were in the form of avtur, he said.

The other fuel oil products of the refineries were premium gasoline which reached 12 million kiloliters, kerosene 7 million kiloliters and diesel oil 18.3 million kiloliters, he said.

He said Pertamina was also serving avtur refueling in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jidda, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

At present Pertamina was supplying avtur fuel to 1,400 planes per day at more than 50 airports in Indonesia and other countries, he said.

One of the domestic airlines subscribing to Pertamina`s avtur fuel was Lion Air which bought 757 thousand kiloliters in 2011 alone, he said.(*)
