Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bank Indonesia (BI)`s board of governors at a meeting here Thursday decided to maintain the benchmark rate (BI Rate) at six percent.

BI Governor Darmin Nasution said the decision to maintain the BI Rate at six percent was accorded with with the country`s inflation rate target, efforts to maintain the financial system`s stability and a conducive situation in support of the domestic economy amid the global economic uncertainty.

Darmin also said economy growth in 2011 was estimated at 6.5 percent while the figure for 2012 was predicted to range between 6.3 percent and 6.7 percent and for 2013 between 6.4 percent and 6.8 percent.
