TOKYO, Jan. 19 (ANTARA/Kyodo JBN-AsiaNet) --

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced on January 19 that the company has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the latest "Magic Quadrant for Asia/Pacific Network Service Providers"(1) report. The full report can be viewed at www.ntt.com/aboutus_e/worldperformance/index.html#gartner_mq2011

Gartner's Magic Quadrant report researches and evaluates Asia/Pacific network service providers in terms of their "completeness of vision" and "ability to execute." Leaders are companies recognized to be especially skilled at executing their visions and positioning their businesses for the future.

"We believe that Gartner's positioning of NTT Com as a leader illustrates our strong market recognition and success in the highly competitive Asia/Pacific market," said Katsumi Nakata, Senior Vice President of Global Business at NTT Com. "Under our Global Cloud Vision, we provide comprehensive, globally seamless cloud services covering networks, data centers, hosting and applications. Our highly reliable ICT services are valued by global customers, especially those who are expanding business in the fast-growing Asia/Pacific region.

This year, NTT Com will launch the Asia Submarine-cable Express, a low-latency network system linking major Asian cities, as well as open additional data centers in Singapore and Malaysia. The needs for business continuity planning are growing, especially in the aftermath of the natural disasters experienced in Japan and Thailand. Furthermore, the increasing popularity of smartphones and tablet devices is driving demand for secure remote access solutions. NTT Com will meet these needs with high-quality cloud services enhanced with new infrastructure.

For the past year, we also have been working closely with group companies such as Emerio, an IT outsourcing service provider, to establish a strategic workforce for the delivery of comprehensive solutions to customers. Going forward, we will continue to invest in infrastructure and service enhancement to further strengthen NTT Com's position as an ideal partner for multinationals operating in the Asia/Pacific region."
