"The Mv Discovery cruise ship will dock at the Yos Sudarso Port for seven hours for the tourists to go for sightseeing in Ambon until 2 in the afternoon," Pieter said.
He said that when the ship arrived that the port, the tourists were greeted by Ambon Mayor Richard Louhenapessy and a number of local government officials.
"Besides, the tourists are also entertained with the attraction of Totobuang traditional musical instrument, Mako-mako traditional welcoming dance," Pieter said.
After that the tourists made their way to Ambon War Cemetery, holy eels tourist attraction at Waai village, Suitela clove farm at Suli village, and Liang beach to enjoy Crazy Bamboo dance.
They also visited World Peace Gong Monument in Ambon city center, Victoria Fort, Pattimura Park, and Martha Christina Tiahahu monument.
Pieter said the visit to Ambon by Mv Discovery was facilitated by experienced and professional tour operator PT Sandy de Lima, specializing in inbound tour and travel and also handling shore excursion for cruise ships.
Meanwhile, PT Sandy de Lima President Director Hellen de Lima said Mv Discovery carried tourists from the United States, Canda, Australia, and New Zealand.
Hellen said the ship started its Voyages of Discovery from Manila to Sandakan, Bitung, Ambon, and then on to Darwin, Booby Islands, Cairns, Port Douglas, Brisbane, New Castle, and Sydney. (*)
