New Delhi (ANTARA News/AFP) - Indian police said Monday they were hunting for a man on a motorbike suspected of attaching a device to an Israeli diplomat`s car shortly before it exploded in New Delhi.

"According to an eyewitness who was present... he saw a man on a motorbike sticking some kind of a device on the rear side of the car," police commissioner B.K. Gupta told reporters.

"Just a few seconds after the car exploded," he added.

He said three Indians sustained minor injuries in the attack as well as the diplomat, a 42-year-old female embassy employee who was in hospital but "conscious."

"She`s conscious and alert. We don`t see that there is any danger to her life," Gupta said, adding that the woman worked at the embassy and was also the wife of the defence attache. (*)
