The special, entitled "Big Band Boom," documents the life of Canadian big band leader Dal Richards. The film features both young singers as they began their careers at Babalu, a then-popular club located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Evans is now recording his major label debut under multiple Grammy Award winning producer Narada Michael Walden, known for producing legendary artists such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Aretha Franklin.
Evans has also written the Boston Red Sox inspired song, "At Fenway," which is becoming popular among Red Sox Nation fans, earning Evans a spot in the Baseball Hall of Fame library, and a commendation by US Senator John Kerry, the former presidential candidate from Massachusetts. Evans just completed a television commercial with Red Sox Hall of Famer Jim Rice, which promotes the new single at Best Buy locations throughout the United States and at BestBuy.com.
