Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Mindo Rosalina Manulang alias Rosa, a key witness in the SEA Games athletes` village corruption case, on Thursday reported a cabinet minister to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for having asked for a project fee from Permai Group through her.

Ahmad Rivai, Rosa`s legal counsel, said he had accompanied his client in formally reporting the minister who had requested a fee on a project that was being tendered out by his office.

But Ahmad refused to mention the minister`s initials to reporters saying they had better ask the KPK as Rosa had already given it to the commission, complete with the relevant evidence.

"As everything has been submitted to the KPK, you had better ask them," he said.

A state official who asks for a project fee is committing a corrupt act and a violation of Article 12 of Law No 20/2001 on corruption, he said.

During the week, two cabinet ministers in their testimonies in court hearings on different cases involving projects had denied having received anything on projects overseen by their offices.

Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar on Monday (Feb 20) testified in the case of Dadong Irabelawan and I Nyoman Suisnaya related to alleged bribery to secure a budget allocation for an infrastructure project in a transmigration area in West Papua.

Sport and Youth Affairs Minister Andi Malarangeng was questioned as a witness in the SEA Games athletes village corruption case implicating M Nazaruddin on Wednesday (Feb 23). (*)
