The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of the Ministry of Commerce proudly presents a world-class event, under the theme 'ASEAN Integration' for the annual Bangkok International Fashion Fair (BIFF) combined with the Bangkok International Leather (BIL) Fair, internationally and locally recognized as BIFF & BIL 2012 from June 27 to July 1, 2012 at Challenger Hall2, Impact Exhibition Center, Muangthong Thani, Thailand, with co-operation from the fashion and leather industries, presenting a showcase of innovations.
Mrs. Nantawan Sakuntanaga, the Director General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, said "The objectives of BIFF & BIL 2012 are to promote and support the private sector’s textile and leather industries clusters in showing their potentials at international level, in order to drive Thailand as the center of production, one-stop marketing & sales, integrated from upstream to downstream, in the ASEAN region. In addition to this, the BIFF & BIL 2012 will also be the venue for various international business and trade negotiations as well as matching opportunities. Moreover, it will also provide great opportunities for the emerging Thai SMEs with high production potentials to market their products to the global market."
Mrs. Nanthawan Sakuntanaga, the Director General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, said "The highlights of BIFF & BIL 2012 are the exclusive and unique booths and exhibitions theme, design and arrangements namely the Trend Forum, Workshop, T3, Designer’s Room, Japan Pavilion, Fashion Focus, Business Matching and the special exhibition of the Bang Sai Arts and Crafts Center, under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. There will be altogether 21 fashion shows from the ASEAN nations: Thailand, India, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and others".
Mrs. Nanthawan Sakuntanaga said "DITP provide the special opportunity for Thai entrepreneurs will have a chance to meet with the well-known international fashion organizer and expert, Mr. Lee Lapthorne, who will give a special talk on the fashion trend of the upcoming Spring & Summer 2013. This will greatly benefit the entrepreneurs in catering to customers' needs. On top of this, Mr. Mikel Rosen, the world-famous fashion guru with highly successful work, will also give a special presentation and conduct a workshop for the participants."

DITP realizes that the expectation of the media towards the Thai fashion and leather industries are always high. He is also one of England's Top 50 hottest creative talents in the world of fashion and design, ranked by The Design Week magazine.
The special talk on 'The Expectations of the Fashion Media towards the Thai Fashion & Leather Industries Today', by Ms Kusuma Chaiyaporn, Editor-in-Chief, L'Officiel magazine, has enlightened the participants on how to gain support (publicity) from the media. The presentation showed how the international magazine has successfully promoted various international brands with creative stories, stunning fashion photographs, press releases and other gimmicks, really attractive to the media, gaining tremendous exposure / publicity.
