Jakarta (ANTARA News) - LiveOlive, the first money-management website for women in Asia in their early 20s to 50s, was launched here on Wednesday.

After first being launched in Indonesia, the website will later be rolled out in other countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and India, Jocelyn Pantastico, LiveOlive`s founder and CEO, said at a press conference.

"We provide budget tools, calculators, articles, money basics email programs to empower women on money, and related topics in a simple manner," Jocelyn, who has been living in Indonesia for the last 15 years, told the media.

The launch of LiveOlive was attended by Wim Tangkilisan, assistant to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the cabinet secretary, and Yoko Doi, the access to finance specialist in World Bank, among others.

The website is in English and the Indonesian language, and is free of charge, she said adding that she expects to attract advertisements to support the website`s operations.

LiveOlive provides, among other features, tips and tricks from money experts, money basics email programs, comparisons of bank interest rates, rates for deposits, home and auto loans, tools for budgeting to know where they are financially, and calculators for credit card interest rates and retirement funds.

With its tag line `Money Made Simple`, LiveOlive presents articles, tools and tables on money management in a way that can be easily understood by all women, including home makers.

"We also want men to feel comfortable visiting our site," Jocelyn said, inviting men to visit the website, which helps not only women but men to manage their finances as well.

Jocelyn plans to add a section on women and entrepreneurship on LiveOlive (www.liveolive.com).

She also quoted World Bank data, which states that the number of women in the work force in Indonesia is 52 per cent, and the number of `netizens` in Indonesia is around 55 million, or 22.4 per cent of the country`s population.
Therefore, she chose Indonesia for the first launch of LiveOlive.
Members of the LiveOlive team include Norwin Mark Castro as the content chief, and Noreen Flores
