"A lot of issues have been reported such as land disputes, alleged malpractices in the health sector and complaints about government administrative officials," he said after visiting the Indonesian Human Rights Commission office in Jakarta.
The chairman said his institution had the obligation to receive people`s complaints and examine them before reporting them to the concerned government departments.
Vice Chairman U Kyaw Tint Swe expressed appreciation towards the Indonesian Human Rights Commission, which is the oldest commission among the ASEAN countries.
"We have much to learn from the Indonesian Human Rights Commission. We expect continuous cooperation between our institutions," he said.
