London (ANTARA News) - Finnish President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö sees Indonesia as a future economic cooperation partner of Finland, especially in industry and trade.

He made the statement when receiving the Indonesian ambassador to Finland concurrently Estonia, Elias Ginting who presented his Letters of Recall and Letters of Credentials from the Indonesian President to Finish President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö at the Finnish Presidential Palace.

Third Secretary for Information, Social and Cultural Affairs at the Indonesian embassy in Helsinki Andy Aron told ANTARA News on Thursday that President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö expressed his admiration of the tolerance of social life in Indonesia.

Before entering the Presidential Palace, the Indonesian ambassador flanked by Finnish Chief of Protocol, was greeted by the Commandant of the Palace Guard and Helsinki Garrison Commander, and then followed by the playing of the Indonesian National Anthem Indonesia Raya, and an inspection of the Guard Jaeger Regiment.

At the Presidential Palace the Indonesian ambassador had been introduced to the members of the Finnish Presidential Cabinet Secretariat before being received by the Finnish President.

The main event was held at Yellow Room of the Finnish Presidential Palace and followed by a 15-minute closed door audience in which the Indonesian ambassador conveyed warm greetings from the Indonesian President and People to the Finnish President and People.

The Indonesian Ambassador also once again congratulated President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö on behalf of the Indonesian President for his reelection and inauguration on March 1, 2012.

In the audience the Indonesian Ambassador dwelled briefly on the general situation in Indonesia especially economic development, and hoped for an increase in the bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields.

President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö in return expressed appreciation to the Indonesian President and people for their congratulations.

Ambassador Elias Ginting was the first envoy received by President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö.
