The Kazakhstan president and his entourage will arrive in Jakarta on Thursday evening to meet President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, and several political leaders on Friday.
Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Kazakhstan`s President Nursultan Nazarbayev will begin a state visit to Indonesia to discuss his country`s plan to open an embassy in Jakarta, Kazakhstan Embassy spokesman Serik Bukebayev said here on Thursday.

"The Kazakhstan president and his entourage will arrive in Jakarta on Thursday evening to meet President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, and several political leaders on Friday," Serik Bukebayev said.

According to Bukebayev, it would be the first visit to Indonesia by President Nazarbayev, who has been ruling the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1990.

Serik also said that a business delegation accompanying President Nazarbayev would meet members of the Indonesian business community to sign a number of business agreements.

Indonesia opened its embassy in Kazakhstan in December 2010. On June 7-9, 2011 Vice President Boediono visited Kazakhstan to attend the the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Astana.
