The medals of merit for the 2012 spring were announced on Sunday (April 29), the Japanese embassy in Jakarta said in a press statement issued on Monday.
One of the Indonesian men is Sayidiman Suryohadiprojo (84), who has won "The Order of The Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star" medal.
Sayidiman former Indonesian ambassador to Japan, governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas), and member of the People`s Consultative Assembly (MPR) had contributed a lot to the promotion of friendship between Japan and Indonesia, according to the statement.
The other Indonesian recipient of the Japanese medal of merit is Farida Wahyu (58). She will receive "The Order of The Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays".
Farida, staff member of the Japanese embassy in Indonesia, is considered to have contributed much to the embassy`s activities in Indonesia.(*)
