... we will be able to find the black box and other victims of the ill-fated plan on Monday...
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Rescue workers are now focusing on searching for the black box of Sukhoi Super Jet 100 which crashed at Mt Salak, Bogor District, West Java, on Wednesday.

"We hope we will be able to find the black box and other victims of the ill-fated plan on Monday because rescue workers have now reached the bottom of the mount ravine at a depth of about 250-300 meters," Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Vice Marshal Daryatmo told reporters at Halim Perdanakusuma airport here on Sunday.

He said members of the joint Search and Rescue Team (SAR) were now near the wreckage of the plane at the bottom of the ravine so that it was expected that they would be able to find and evacuate the victims` bodies and to find the black box on Monday.

"I am convinced that the black box is located near the plane's tail which fell into the ravine. It turned out that it was difficult to reach the tail location today (Sunday)," he said.

He said that Sunday evening the evacuation of the bodies was temporarily stopped because darkness had fallen and it would be continued on Monday morning.

"The helicopter could not enter the site because it is already dark and the night has fallen," Daryatmo said.
