"The command will not issue a recommendation for the holding e Lady Gaga`s concert because the committee did not apply for a permit for the event," command spokesman Senior Commissioner Rikwanto said here on Monday.
He said the police did not have the authority to do it because the committee did not apply for a permit for the implementation of the performance.
Rikwanto said the "Poker Face" singer is scheduled to perform at the stadium on June 3.
He said he heard that the committee had sold out the tickets to Lady Gaga fans.
He said he had also heard that the Indonesian Council of Ulemas and several mass organizations had protested the planned concert citing erotism which is against the country`s culture, (*)
