"New personnel will replace the old personnel who have served for two days."Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) on Tuesday has sent 11 more personnel to the Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash site on Mount Salak in West Java, according to an official.
"New personnel will replace the old personnel who have served for two days," the chief of the PMI branch in Bogor, Abidin, stated here on Tuesday.
He said new team members would take the Cimelati track to reach the site.
The PMI has provided 165 body bags, 540 pairs of gloves, 4,700 masks, 100 flashlights, 11 tarpaulins, and 100 vests.
"120 personnel were deployed to support the evacuation," Abidin added.
The Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 was on a demonstration flight in Jakarta last Wednesday (May 9) before it went missing.
There were 45 people on board, including eight Russians.
Air traffic controllers said around 12 minutes after take-off the pilot requested permission to descend from 10,000 feet to 6,000 feet and then disappeared from the radar screen at an altitude of 6,200 feet.
