Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has allowed a Russian search and rescue team to take part in further evacuation of the remains of Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash victims on Friday.

"True, a Russian SAR team will take part in further evacuation process tomorrow after receiving a permit from the Basarnas chief," the chief of the Search Mission Coordinator (SMC), Ketut Parwa said on Thursday night.

Parwa said the 10-member Russian SAR team will help evacuate the remains of the plane crash victims and find the flight data recorder (FDR).

They will be equipped with special climbing instruments, he said.

"The Russian team will be engaged in airborne evacuation. They will be airdropped to the peak of Mount Salak using their own helicopter under the escort of the Army`s special force (Kopassus) and the Air Force`s special force (Paskas)," he said.

The Russian-made SSJ-100 was on a demonstration flight with 45 people on board when it crashed into Mount Salak in Bogor, West Java, on the afternoon of May 9. The victims consist of eight Russians, 35 Indonesians, one Frenchman and an American.
