"Currently, there are 117 countries that use Bio Farma products and 11 product have been recognized by the World Health Organization, WHO," said the company`s spokesperson, Ratna Djuwita, here on Saturday.
According to Djuwita, Bio Farma's two leading products are its vaccines and serums.
Djuwita added that the government, through the Ministry of Health, is having Bio Farma educate the public about the importance of immunization.
Bio Farma`s Chief Marketing Support Division official, Aco Aslam Yusuf, noted that that the educational activity contributed to the company`s success in supporting the national immunization programs.
"The materials to be disseminated to the public focus on vaccines, antiserums, and explains vaccines and the cold chain system," he said.
Yusuf added that since the beginning of 2012 the company has been holding "Day Clinic" events to share educational products.
The program has been conducted in several major cities in Indonesia, including Surabaya, Makassar and Medan.
