Magelang (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and some thousand hashers taking part in the Borobudur International Hash House Harriers (Interhash) 2012 have covered some 4.2 kilometers at the foot of Menoreh mountain range in Magelang regency, Central Java.

The President and entourage began from a field in Tuk Songo village, Borobudur subdistrict, Magelang regency this mourning.

The President flanked by Bibit Waluyo Governor, Tourist and Creatinve Economy Minister Marie Elka Pangestu, and Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Rakyat Agung Laksono, will cover roads in villages in the area of Borobudur Temple for about two hours.

The route will end in the field of Tuk Songo village.

Residents in Borobudur subdistrict welcomed the Presidential entourage.

Earlier Borobudur Interhash has been officially opened by Minister Marie Elka Pangestu at the yard of Prambanan Temple last night.

Some 4,500 hashers from 50 countries took part in the activity hoped to boost tourism in Central Java.
