Singapore (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left Singapore on Saturday, concluding a two-day visit to the island state that included giving a keynote speech at the Shangri La Dialog on defense and security in the Asia Pacific region.

He left for Indonesia`s outermost Nipah island bordering Singapore aboard the naval ship KRI Diponegoro at 2.15pm, following a lunch with Singapore`s prime minister, Lee Hsien Loong, in the State Room at the Shangri La Hotel in Singapore.

KRI Diponegoro was escorted by three other naval ships, the KRI Clurit, KRI Kujang and KRI Maracora.

While in Singapore, President Yudhoyono also met with US Senators John McCain and Joseph Lieberman and had tea with Singapore`s President, Tony Tan Keng Yam.

President Yudhoyono is to spend the night on Nipah island before leaving for Jakarta on Sunday. (*)
