will follow up on an agreement and commitmentJakarta (ANTARA News) - Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa is leading an Indonesian delegation to attend the 45th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and foreign ministerial East Asia Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from July 8-13, 2012.
According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry press release sent to ANTARA on Monday, the ASEAN ministers will follow up on an agreement and commitment signed during the 20th ASEAN Summit held in Cambodia early this April.
Many agreements, such as Phnom Penh Declaration, ASEAN Community Development Agenda and Drug-free ASEAN 2015, were signed at the 20th ASEAN Summit.
The Indonesian foreign affairs minister, who is currently in Cambodia, will also attend the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Monday which will be headed by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, the chairman and host of ASEAN Summit 2012.
The foreign ministerial East Asia Summit meanwhile is scheduled on July 12th in conjunction with the 19th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
On July 8, the ASEAN foreign ministers attended a meeting with ASEAN Human Rights Commission (AIHCR) to discuss the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration (AHRD) draft, which is proposed to be recommended at the 21st ASEAN Summit in November this year.
A meeting with the Commission of Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone (SEANWFZ) was also held the same day to sign the SEANWFZ Treaty Protocol.
Then on July 10th the Indonesian delegation is scheduled to attend ASEAN foreign ministerial meeting with ASEAN Plus Three, namely the People`s Republic of China, Japan, and South Korea.
Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa will also chair Southwest Pacific Forum with Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Timor Leste on July 11 to discuss ways to strengthen relations, cooperation on maritime conservation, and other democratic issues.
