DP, Adjunct Senior Commissioner TR, Commissioner LG and two winners of the procurement project tender, namely SB and BS.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The National Police`s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) has named five suspects in an alleged corruption case in the procurement of driving simulators by the Traffic Police Corps (Korlantas).
"Since August 1, 2012, Bareskrim`s investigators have named five suspects and the decision letter for the commencement of the investigation (SPDP) has been issued and sent to the Attorney General`s Office," National Police Spokesman Brig. Gen Anang Iskandar said here on Thursday.
The five suspects are Brig. Gen. DP, Adjunct Senior Commissioner TR, Commissioner LG and two winners of the procurement project tender, namely SB and BS.
"The five suspects will be detained in connection with their involvement in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of driving simulators for two and four wheel vehicles," he said.
The five suspects are charged with articles on corruption case where three police officers acted as treasures, auction chairman and issuer of commitment documents.
"After conducting an investigation, police have the obligation to name suspects," Anang said.
Earlier, Inspector General DS, former chief of the Korlantas, has also been named a suspect. He is now chief of the Police Academy.
On Wednesday the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)said it had named three new suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of driving simulators by the Traffic Police Corps in 2011.
"We have decided (to name) the suspects, namely DS and friends," KPK Deputy Chairman Bambang Widjojanto said during a dinner held to break the fast here on Wednesday.
He added that a group of friends could be held responsible for the alleged corruption case based on criminal charges.
Previously, KPK named a suspect in the case, inspector general DS (Djoko Susilo), former chief of the Traffic Police Corps (Korlantas).
"The new suspects are BS, SB and DP. BS and SB are from corporations while DP is a state police officer," Bambang said.
DP is Brigadier General Didik Purnomo, deputy chief of the Korlantas, BS is Budi Susanto, the president director of PT Cintra Mandiri Metalindo Abadi (CMMA), which was the tender winner in the procurement of the driving simulator facilities, and SB is Sukodjo S Bambang, the director of PT Inovasi Teknologi Indonesia, which was the subcontractor of CMMA.
During the dinner, Bambang also said that an investigation letter (sprindik) had been issued on July 27 for the investigation of the project, worth Rp198.7 billion.(*)
