"However, there will be a special shift to offer emergency services during the holidays."Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - The outpatient clinic at Jogja Hospital would remain closed during the Id-ul-Fitr holidays, from August 19-22, according to a hospital official.
"We just held a meeting with the board of directors in Jogja Hospital and I think all patients and outpatients should take note of this announcement," hospital director Sri Aminah said here on Friday.
"The outpatient services will resume on August 22 at 10 am local time," she stated.
Dr. Aminah pointed out that although the polyclinic would remain closed during the holidays, the emergency and inpatient services would be on standby 24 hours a day.
"Patients with ongoing treatment are requested to adjust their check-up schedule accordingly," she added.
Earlier, Head of Yogyakarta Health Office Tuty Setyowati said the local government had asked three community health centres (puskesmas) in Jetis, Mergangsan and Tegalrejo to be on standby 24 hours a day during the Id-ul-Fitr holidays.
"The three community health centres will be on standby for 24 hours but will only deal with cases of childbirth. However, there will be a special shift to offer emergency services during the holidays," she added.
Besides the three health centres, the Yogyakarta Health Office also has ensured that two more community health centres, Puskesmas Umbulharjo I and Puskesmas Gedongtengen, will provide services on Sunday (August 19) from 8 am through 12 pm local time.
