"Soon after the President signs the regulation, it can be disbursed."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State aircraft maker PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) expects to receive Rp1 trillion, out of a total of Rp2.06 trillion in public participation capital (PMN), which will be disbursed at the end of this year, according to an official source.

"The disbursement of the PMN only awaits the issuance of the government regulation, because the House of Representatives has already given its approval," DI president director Budi Susanto said here on Monday.

He added that the justice ministry and the finance ministry had yet to officially approve the disbursement of PMN funds.

"So it is only awaiting the paperwork. Soon after the President signs the regulation, it can be disbursed," Budi stated.

He said the PMN funds would be used to increase the company's production capacity and improve its overall performance, despite the longstanding challenges it had been facing.

"Operationally we have been positive, but we still carry some burdens from the past, such as tax bills from the 2000s," Budi added.

He stated that PT DI was planning to enter new markets in the Asia-Pacific region, one of them being the Philippines, where the aircraft manufacturer would promote its flagship product, CN-295.

"We have sent a letter there. They will also submit a budget plan for the procurement. After the parliament approves it, we can start production," Budi explained.
