"We finance projects for 90 vocational schools across 33 provinces in Indonesia."
Bantul, Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been supporting vocational education in Indonesia by providing a soft loan worth US$80 million in order to finance Indonesia Vocational Education Strengthening Projects (INVEST) for the 2008-13 period.

"We finance projects for 90 vocational schools across 33 provinces in Indonesia. So far, the projects have been running efficiently thanks to good cooperation between project managers at the Ministry of National Education and the officers from ADB," said Jon D Lindborg, the Country Director for ADB`s Indonesia Resident Mission, here on Friday.

He stated that each school receives between US$300,000 and US$600,000 to finance projects involving renovation of classrooms, laboratories, libraries and office buildings. A part of the fund is also allocated for training teachers and students.
