The Mainichi, Kyodo News and The Japan Times are launching a joint English portal website from Nov. 16 to 20 to provide news reports, key remarks by officials, official documents and other information for the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related events, including the East Asia Summit, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Media organizations can access the Japan Press Pool Service website to obtain the following in English:
* news reports on the ASEAN summit and related events, including the East Asia Summit;
* top stories from Japan;
* key remarks by Japan's prime minister and other officials;
* news photos;
* information and news reports on side events; and
* official documents released by the ASEAN Secretariat and the Japanese government.
