"We hope this initiative is good news for our stakeholders."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mercedes- Benz, Claus Weidner, stated that the assembly of M-Class series cars in Indonesia, is indicative of a conducive domestic investment climate, for the growth of the company`s business.
"The local assembly of ML 350 cars once again proves that Indonesia is a potential market for Mercedes-Benz," Weidner stated in a press release, on Wednesday.
He said that the assembly of Mercedes cars in Indonesia is indicative of good talent in the country, which can assemble the products with high degree of precision and discipline.
Weidner explained that the production process of ML350 in Indonesia is supported by some experts from Germany and the US. They have also provided training in the assembly process, to maintain high quality.
"We also built infrastructure, with a new production line and technology," he said.
He added that the company is committed to moving forward in Indonesia and expanding the business, along with the economic development of the country.
"We hope this initiative is good news for our stakeholders, especially Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts," he said.
"This year has been great for the growth of Mercedes-Benz in Indonesia. After the launch of the ML 350 4MATIC this year, we decided to locally assemble the M-Class series, with impeccable details and quality," he noted.
"PT Mercedes-Benz Indonesia sees a big public interest, with regard to the M-Class series. The premium car market in Indonesia is also growing well," he added.
Wiedner continued that the launch of ML 358 4MATIC is an evidence of the company`s commitment to improve the automobile industry. It also highlights the company`s seriousness in working on premium SUV segments.
Mercedes-Benz ML350 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY has an engine, with direct petrol injection. This is the third generation of vehicle engine, with a capacity of 3.0-liter V6. It is in compliance with the EU5 emission standard.
