The four planes landed in the Hang Nadim airport at
"adjacent" time, according to the Batam administration public relations officer, Dwi Djoko Wiwoho here on Sunday.
"Silkair landed at 11:35 a.m. local time, while Vietnam Air Lines landed at 11:47 a.m. Then Singapore Airlines landed at 11:49 a.m. and Tiger Airways landed here about 11:53 a.m," Wiwoho said.
He added that the planes flight numbers consisting of the Airbus A320/9VSLI of Silkair airways with 601 flight number left from Phnom Penh for Changi at 04:33 UTC. While the Airbus A321/VN-A335 of Vietnam Air Lines boarded from Ho Chi Minh City to Changi at 04:47 UTC with flight number 651.
The Singapore Airlines cargo Boeing B744/9VSFF with flight number 293, took off from Auckland with destination Changi at 04:49 UTCA, he said.
The fourth plane flight number that landed in Batam is Tiger Airways 2323 with Airbus A320/9V TAZ which took off from Ho chi minh City to Changi at 04.53 UTC, he said.
"During in Batam Hang Nadim airport, all passengers remained on board until the planes continued to take off to Changi Airport," he said.
According to him, all the planes were still in Hang Nadim at 14:00 WIB, waiting for confirmation on weather condition from Singapore Authority.
On Sunday morning, bad weather also blanketed Batam which is adjacent to Singapore.
In the meantime, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Board (BMKG) in Hang Nadim airport has warned about such bad weather.
