"However, 774 of them have been already resolved."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - As many as 595 members of the Indonesian police force have been dishonourably discharged this year for various violations, up 55.12 percent from 2011.
"A total of 106 of them were involved in narcotics cases, while 32 were found guilty of imposing illegal levies," National Police Chief, General Timur Pradopo, said at a year-end press conference here on Friday.
He noted that the National Police had received 1,148 complaints from the public so far this year.
"However, 774 of them have been already resolved," Pradopo pointed out.
He said the number of disciplinary violations had reached 6,017 so far this year, up 43 percent from 2011.
"Action has been taken in 4,154, or 69 percent, of those cases," Pradopo noted.
"Cases involving violation of ethics by police officers in 2012 totalled 651, up 42.24 percent from last year, and 449 of them have been resolved," he added.
