Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Argentine President Cristina Elisabet Fernandez De Kirchner is expected to arrive in Indonesia on Wednesday (Jan 16) for a visit until January 18, 2013, presidential spokesman has said.

Presidential special aide for international relations Teuku Faizasyah in his press statement released on Tuesday said that the Argentine President and Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will meet here on Thursday (Jan 17).

"In the meeting, the two presidents will discuss the developments in the two countries` cooperation especially related to economic affairs," he said.

According to him, Argentina is Indonesia`s third largest export destination in the Latin American region after Brazil and Mexico.

On the other hand, Indonesia is Argentina`s largest trading partner in the ASEAN region.

The total value of the two countries` trade in 2011 reached US $1.94 billion, meanwhile in the year to October 2012 the figure reached US $1.67, he noted.

During the three-day visit, President De Kirchner will visit the National Museum and attended a wreath laying ceremony at the Heroes Cemetery in Kalibata, South Jakarta.

Teuku Faizasyah said that President De Krichner, along with 230 Argentine businessmen was also scheduled to meet the Indonesian main business players. (B003/S012)
