Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The National Mandate Party (PAN) said it will sack its party cadre Wanda Hamidah who is a member of the Jakarta legislative assembly if she is found consuming drug.

"If based on the result of a drug test she is found consuming drug we will replace her and she will be sacked then," PAN Deputy Chairman Drajat Wibowo said here on Sunday.

But if the result of the test showed that no drug was found in her urine she would be sanctioned for violating ethics, he said.

Drajat said the party did not tolerate any drug-related crime.

Wanda Hamidah and 16 friends were arrested by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in a raid on the house of film artist Raffi Ahmad in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Sunday at 04.00 a.m.

Until this story was compiled, the agency had yet to release the results of its drug tests on the 17 people.

"We arrested 17 people consisting of 13 men and 4 women. Four of them are artists," BNN deputy chief Insp. Gen. Benny Mamoto said on Sunday.

Benny said BNN also confiscated two rolls of marijuana and other related evidence.

The agency is conducting an intensive investigation at the BNN building in Cawang, East Jakarta, to see the result of the urine test. (S012/B003)
