"Go ahead with the Two Children is Enough slogan," Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono said.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono said family planning program should be revitalized by familiarizing the public with the program more intensively.
"Go ahead with the Two Children is Enough slogan," he said here on Monday.
The minister noted that the current population growth rate in Indonesia is still very high and the number of parents having more than two children is still very large.
Meanwhile, acting head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Sudibyo Alimoeso said the agency will intensify its family planning campaigns even in remote and border areas.
He added that BKKBN will also improve its services for the public by improving all citizens` access to family planning.
"Many people want to join family planning but they cannot be served because of difficult access to family planning service. Therefore, we will continue to improve the service," he said.
BKKBN will train the people who have joined the family planning program to become users for a long time.
"Many people joined the family planning program but later abandoned their participation. We need to address the matter by educating them in a sustainable way," he said.(*)
