Under Karen, in 2012, Pertamina posted a net profit of Rp25.89 trillion its highest ever allowing it to pay larger contribution to the state including dividend.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Karen Agustiawan`s term as the president of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina has been extended from March 5 until a replacement is named.

Pertamina spokesman Ali Mundakir said an official letter to that effect has been received from the office of the minister for state enterprises.

The letter signed by Minister for State Enterprise Dahlan Iskan, was received today from Dwijanti Tjahjaningsih, a deputy at the ministry, he said.

Under Karen, Pertamina has succeeded in increasing its production of oil and gas to 461,640 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2012.

In 2012, Pertamina posted a net profit of Rp25.89 trillion its highest ever allowing it to pay larger contribution to the state including dividend.

The company has also recorded improvement in corporate healthiness to an AA rating based on a decision of the ministry of state enterprises.

There is no change in other members of the board of directors. (*)
