"The situation on the Korean Peninsula is nearing the thermo-nuclear war."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian students in The Republic of Korea (ROK) haven`t yet left the country following the North Korean government`s appeal that foreign nationals should leave the country immediately.

"We do not as yet undergo evacuation, because Indonesian Embassy has called us to do normal activities," said one of Indonesian students who is studying at Seoul National University (SNU) Ginanjar Mahardikatama when contacted from here on Wednesday.

According to Ginanjar, an official notice to remain doing a normal activity is issued by the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul through its website on Thursday (April 4) last.

"So far the condition in the Republic of Korea itself is still normal, there is no special activity, even no Koreans are urged to join the military," Ginanjar noted.

In addition, Ginanjar said that all students and other Indonesian citizens are encouraged to immediately gather at the Embassy for further action if there is attack.

"If there is an attack, there will be warning sirens first and then we gather at the Embassy," said Gina.

Earlier on Tuesday, North Korea government said that the Korean peninsula was leading up to the "thermo-nuclear" war and advised foreigners to leave South Korea.

Tuesday`s plea came after a similar plea last week, submitted to foreign embassies in Pyongyang that foreigners should flee the country at least on April 10 due to the possible war that might happens.

Last week`s warning for embassies in Pyongyang also ignored and considered as empty rhetoric and most foreign governments explained that they are not planning to withdraw its personnel.

"The situation on the Korean Peninsula is nearing the thermo-nuclear war," said the Asia-Pacific Peace Committee in a statement carried by the official news agency of North Korea, the Korean Central News Agency.

The statement said that they do not want foreigners to be falling victim and therefore called on all foreign institutions, companies and tourists to "take measures for protection and refuge".

Threat "thermo-nuclear war" was waged several times in recent months - the most recent was on March 7 - although experts assume that North Korea`s ability to develop advanced nuclear weapons was still not enough.
