Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is expected to inaugurate Hospital for Workers in August 2013, according to State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan.

"The construction is now underway and is expected to be completed before August 17, 2013. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will inaugurate it," Dahlan Iskan said at the topping out ceremony of the hospital construction located at Nusantara Bonded Zone in Cakung, East Jakarta on Monday.

The idea to build a hospital for laborers at an industrial zone came from President Yudhoyono, he said.

"The hospital for workers will be managed by Pertamedika, a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina which is very experienced in running hospitals," the minister said.

The hospital is being constructed with the coordination of several state-owned enterprises, namely PT Jamsostek, PT Askes, PT Binakarya, PT Nindya Karya, and PT Indrakarya.

Meanwhile, President Director of the Nusantara Bonded Zone said the construction of the hospital is estimated to cost Rp65 billion, the purchases of medical equipment Rp40 billion, while the

contingency funds to buy two ambulance and pay consultants Rp5 billion.

The hospital is being constructed on a 3,652 m2 plot of land with funds deriving from state-owned enterprises` Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

"Worker including those working in state-owned companies who hold health insurance cards could receive medical services for free in the hospital. While laborers who do not have health insurance could receive medical services at low cost," he said.

The size of the eight-story building will be 9,000 m2, and the hospital will have 184 beds of the second class category.

The hospital`s specification will include C+ class medical services, medical supporting services, non-medical

supporting services, emergency unit, outpatient and inpatient treatments, intensive unit care, surgery services.

The construction will follow a green concept to help preserve the environment and speed up patients` recovery.
