"Two people are on the wanted list namely the owner of the house used for delivering the drug and the one who has supplied the stuff from Malaysia," Riau Islands regional police chief Brigadier General Yotje Mende said here on Friday.
He said the police discovered 162,000 ecstasy pills packed in 163 plastic bags each containing 1,000 pills kept in a compressor in a raid in a house on Jalan Ubud, Daan Mogot Baru, West Jakarta, on Thursday.
He said the police were hunting the owner of the house who according to information was often called "Datuk", a general Malay nickname, and believed to be a Malaysian national.
Deputy Director IV for Narcotic Affairs of the National Police`s Crime Investigation Department, Commissioner General Anjan Pramuka Putra, meanwhile said that the owner of the house on Jalan Ubud fled when the raid was carried out.
He said he had coordinated with the Malaysian police to deal with the person.
"We have called the Malaysian narcotic police chief to develop the case. This is an international network involving Malaysian and Indonesian citizens," he said.
The police had arrested three suspects namely Mohamad Sholehudin (acting as the recipient of stuff caught at the house), Asmil ( a helper) and Ong (who just arrived from Malaysia) in connection with the case.
Ong, according to initial information, is the one responsible for the shipment of the goods from Malaysia.
Their arrest followed investigation following information about suspicious goods from Johor, Malaysia taken by someone called Liem (later found to be Ong) at one of the ports in Riau Islands.
Based on the information the police then carried out search on May 29 and found the compressor which was later found to contain thousands of illegal ecstasy pills.
The police then monitored the delivery of the compressor which took around a week from Batam. The item arrived in Jakarta on June 5 and on June 6 before a transaction was done the Riau Islands police helped by police from the Narcotic Directorate raided the house in Daan Mogot and arrested the three suspects.
