Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - A gang of armed criminals on Thursday set free an expatriate Marcom Primsore (62) from Britain after being held for two days in the forest of East Aceh.

Primsore, who works for a local oil company PT Medco E&P, was found in the morning in the Wira Perca plantation in the sub-district of Rantau Selamat, East Aceh, district police chief Adj. Sr. Comr Muhajir said .

Primrose was taken to the plantation by four members of the kidnappers using a raft and he was left in the plantation to walk to security post of the plantation company PT Citra Ganda Utama.

Primsore using the hand phone of the security officer called his wife who then reported to police.

"We immediately drove to the plantation company to pick him up at 07.30 local time," Muhajir said.

Police were then sent to go after the kidnappers in the forest.

Muhajir did not say how and where Primsore had been kidnapped and what was the motive the kidnapping. (*)
