It was fantastic. I was indeed tired but the spectators here were terrific."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia came out as the champion of the men`s singles in the Indonesia Badminton Open here on Sunday increasing the victories he made in the tournament in Indonesia to five times.

Chong Wei in the final round defeated German March Zwiebler 21-15, 21-14 who is ranked 22nd in the world.

"Today he played very well and consistently," Chong Wei said commenting on his opponent`s performance after the match.

Chong Wei indeed had to work hard before he could win the game after he was absent last year due to an injury.

Weibler meanwhile said that he had exerted all his ability to beat the London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist but "he is really better" referring to Chong Wei`s performance.

He however said he had enjoyed the game and could force Chong Wei to work quite hard.

"It was fantastic. I was indeed tired but the spectators here were terrific. This was the greatest tournament in the world," he said.

Zweibler beat Indonesian Tommy Sugiarto before going to the final round. Next week he is scheduled to play at Singapore Open.

"I am more confident but we cannot expect to be able to continue to play like today but I will do my best," he said about his next performance at Singapore Open.
