Providing an opportunity for teachers to listen to keynote presentations from experts, engage with panel discussions, share best practice in facilitated workshops and meet in interest groups, this year's conference will be held at United World College South-East Asia East Campus, Singapore, between 16 and 17 October.
The Cambridge Schools Conference will feature some excellent speakers from the world of international education and will include keynote addresses from:
- Ayesha Khana, Chief Executive, Urban Intel - with a view to uncovering whether we are preparing our youth for the jobs of the future, Ayesha will discuss trends in disruptive technologies and globalisation, as well as new paradigms of education including approaches such as flip teaching and blended learning. Giving examples from experiments around the world, the talk will draw out important lessons for Asia and its youth, and opportunities for educators in the region to leapfrog ahead of the West by leveraging its strengths and making the right interventions in the education system today.
- Professor John G. Hedberg, Professor of ICT and Education, Macquarie University, Sydney will explore how technology can be easily integrated into the classroom to support teaching and learning. The session will explore the benefits of multimodal representation of concepts with images, words, motion and dynamic sequences.
- Dr Phil Kirkman, Teacher Associate, University of Cambridge will aim to move beyond the important conversations about what it means to teach with and through the medium of digital technology, and offer a critical stance towards technology integration, exploring what works, how it works and why it works in today's digital age.
Teachers can join the conference to reflect on this topic and to meet fellow Cambridge teachers. The conference will be held at United World College South-East Asia East Campus, Singapore, from 16-17 October.
