Pekanbaru, Riau (ANTARA News) - The Election Suprvisory Body (Bawaslu) of the Riau Province has indicated thousands of rule violations have happened ahead of the Riau Governor Election 2013 in September.

"There are thousands (of violations). Based on our recapitulation, yesterday, there are about 2,896 types of violation prior to the Riau Governor Election for the 2013-2018 period," the head of Bawaslu Riau, Edi Syarifuddin, said here on Tuesday.

He said the types of violation which have been identified include installation of billboards, banners and posters before campaign period and in prohibited locations.

"Every candidate has been indicated to have violated the election rule," he said.

The candidates with the most violations are Achmad-Masrul Kasmy reaching 1,051 violations covering 145 billboards, 54 placards, 624 banners and 25 posters before the schedule.

The other candidates, Jon Erizal-Mambang Mit, has conducted 713 violations setting up 145 billboards, 20 placards, 549 banners and 17 posters.

"Candidates Annas Maamun-Arsyadjuliandi Rahman are indicated to have conducted 455 violations consisting of putting up 171 billboards, 43 placards, 225 banners and 16 posters," he said.

Meanwhile candidates Herman Abdullah-Agus Widayat with 402 violations installing 123 billboards, 53 fabric banners, 218 banners, and eight posters.

"The less violating candidates are Lukman Edy-Suryadi Khusainni with 275 violations including setting up 35 billboards, 43 fabric banners, 194 banners and three posters," he said.

However, current violation indication is not yet final as not all districts and cities in Riau have reported their findings of violations of the five governor and vice governor candidates.

"It is likely to continue to increase and we have always recapped and followed it up later," he said.(*)
