"Yesterday, we removed him from the post of commissioner at Bank Mandiri," said State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Head of the Upstream Oil and Gas Special Working Unit (SKK Migas) Rudi Rubiandini has been removed from Bank Mandiri`s board of commissioners for his alleged involvement in a graft case, said a minister.

"Yesterday, we removed him from the post of commissioner at Bank Mandiri," noted State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan on Thursday.

Rudi had been appointed the commissioner of the country`s state lender on April 2, three months after he was inducted as the chief of SKK Migas on January 16 this year.

"Since Rudi did not resist his arrest, we had to remove him from the post of Bank Mandiri`s commissioner," said Dahlan.

He recalled that when Rudi was appointed a member of the bank`s board of commissioners, he was against corruption.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Rudi on Tuesday night for taking bribes at his house in Jakarta.

Johan Budi, spokesperson for KPK, mentioned that Rudi and two private entrepreneurs, who are known by their initials - A and S, have been arrested.

According to the spokesperson, Rudi and these two men have been taken to the KPK office for questioning.

On Wednesday, Dahlah said he was shocked upon hearing about Rudi`s arrest.

"I am shocked. I cannot believe that KPK has arrested Rudi Rubiandini," noted Dahlan, adding that Rudi is a simple person, who is determined to fix various problems in the oil and gas sector. (*)
