"Any party who believes that it is against the law could be called to the court. We are ready to follow orders as we believe we have not broken any rule," Tanoe said.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - National entrepreneur Hary Tanoesoedibyo said he is ready to face legal action if he had violated the law by organising the 2013 Miss World contest in the country.
"Any party who believes that it is against the law could be called to the court. We are ready to follow orders as we believe we have not broken any rule," he explained at a press conference on Monday.
He said no rule has been broken and that he had prepared the contest in line with the eastern values promoted by the nation.
The vice presidential candidate from the Hanura party added that the aim of the contest is to promote the country`s cultures and tourist places.
Hary said he would file a lawsuit against the organisation that had reported him to the police in connection with the case.
"We are now focusing on carrying out the mission thoroughly and well. We should not make mistakes in the implementation stage. If we make mistakes, it will be bad for Indonesia," he added.
Hary made this statement in connection to the Islam Defenders` Front`s (FPI) move to report him and his MNC Group to the police on Monday for organising the Miss World contest.
FPI has accused Hary of violating the law on information and electronic transactions; it claims that Hary had spread pornographic content using mass media.
It has also reported Hary because of claims that he had given bribes to the Indonesia Council of Ulemas (MUI) to organise Miss World 2013 in Bali. (*)
