The two-day event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Forestry and the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB).
This event is expected to become a forum, where forestry companies can meet potential job seekers, including university graduates.
The government has been trying to provide job opportunities and reduce the rate of unemployment, which stands at 6.32 percent.
Indonesia has the third-largest tropical forest in the world, after Brazil and Congo.
According to Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Indonesian forests cover 130 million hectares of land, and these include 45 million hectares of premier forests, 45 million hectares of logged-over areas, and 40 million hectares of critical forest areas.
